Large-Scale Predictive Analytics at Oncor
This presentation introduces Oncor’s enterprise data analytics platform and highlights several predictive analytics use cases developed for Operations. These capabilities are rooted in the large-scale integration of major operational systems, including AMS, OMS, and work order management systems, enabling a unified and scalable data foundation.
Building on this integrated environment, a suite of in-house predictive models has been developed to address key business challenges. These include forecasting distribution transformer and cable failures, predicting transformer load, and estimating storm duration and associated damage levels. These use cases will be presented with a focus on both the underlying methodologies and their application in real-world operational settings.
