As lower-carbon fleet vehicles scale from pilot to portfolio, the most valuable lessons are emerging not from theory, but from the field. This session brings together leaders translating fleet data into grid readiness action: Emilia Sibley(North American Council for Freight Efficiency), Raj Jhaveri (Greenlane Infrastructure), Amber Putignano (ABB), and Julie Tzeng (Con Edison).

Drawing from the recent Run on Less fleet demonstrations across 4 different class 8 truck power trains, this session will reveal where electrification stands amongst other energy options in heavy-duty trucking. Additional load profiles from Greenlane’s Colton megawatt-ready site will reveal what electric-trucks, chargers, and depots are teaching us about how to prepare for the grid of tomorrow. Panelists will share insights on how vehicle telemetry and charging analytics can help utilities anticipate where and when large fleet loads will emerge and how advanced planning models, like Con Edison’s proactive grid study, are redefining the playbook for readiness.

The discussion will explore utility/fleet coordination frameworks, smart site controls, and the broader implications these early projects hold for cost, capacity, and reliability.
