Automated Drone Systems for Utility Inspections and Rapid Response: BVLOS Implementation Case Studies
This technical session explores the implementation of automated, dock-based drone systems for beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) utility inspections and monitoring. The session presents real-world case studies from SDG&E's electric and gas infrastructure inspection program (including methane detection, wildfire mitigation, and asset assessments) and Falcon Unmanned Systems' nationwide BVLOS operations for solar farm inspections and rapid response applications.
