Introduction to IEEE 1815 (DNP3)
An overview of IEEE 1815, aka DNP3, the most widely-used SCADA protocol in North American electric utilities.
The course covers modern SCADA concepts and how DNP3 implements them. The design concepts and architecture of DNP3 are described. Guidelines for configuring DNP3 systems in line with the design concepts will be discussed, supporting interoperability in implemented systems.
The companion Tuesday morning workshop will discuss advanced DNP3 topics.
