Buried beneath established routine and procedures, electric utilities uncover major gaps - paper-based as-builting workflows.  As they modernize their work management, GIS and graphic work design systems to feed better data to ADMS, utilities realize their legacy as-builting processes pose a risk to data quality that could degrade results from FLISR analyses.  Dominion Energy Virginia surfaced this gap during ongoing grid modernization projects and discovered that a Digital Construction Management (DCM) solution could fill this gap.  This session will cover how Dominion implemented a DCM solution and realized the benefit of obtaining high-quality, high-accuracy and timely as-built data for their GIS.  Their DCM project includes integrations with their Enterprise Work and Asset Management, Graphic Work Design, and GIS enterprise systems.
