Data-Driven programs to strengthen community choice, transparency, and engagement
This session will provide two perspectives on collaborative data-driven utility programs to strengthen community choice, transparency, and engagement:
SDG&E will discuss its partnership with regional Community Choice Aggregators (CCAs)to develop a unified customer digital portal. The portal provides shared SDG&E / CCA customers with a seamless, transparent understanding of their electricity services, costs, and choices, alleviating potential confusion. Together, they are advancing the City of San Diego’s mandate of 100% renewable energy by 2035 while providing consumers with more choice and deeper engagement.
CPS Energy will share insights and best practices from its experience building the foundational data infrastructure and governance frameworks to support community-focused AI applications. Topics include AI-based smart city use cases to improve customer satisfaction and community engagement, the data requirements to drive successful AI applications, required guardrails, and innovative collaborations with San Antonio Water, City of San Antonio, and BCG.
