Utilities are increasingly deploying energy storage to enhance the operational resilience and sustainability of the grid. Given the critical nature of grid operations, safety and cybersecurity are paramount, and with growing geopolitical tensions there has been a corresponding increase in concerns regarding how to ensure safety and cybersecurity in BESS deployments.

Experts from EVLO Energy Storage will leverage their experience developing and installing BESS for various utilities and independent power producers to provide insights into the latest best practices regarding safety and cybersecurity measures for BESS. The experts will discuss comprehensive strategies including robust physical safeguards; stringent cybersecurity protocols to thwart potential cyberattacks or data breaches; measures for ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards; and specialized training programs and ongoing maintenance procedures to ensure that BESS deployments are reliable and secure.
