The electrical power industry currently offers key solutions to achieve society’s decarbonization targets, and many electrical utilities still face significant challenges. Two issues are still under development: 1) how utilities can best upgrade their infrastructure, and 2) how utilities can change their planning practices to more efficiently deploy investments. The resolution of these two issues, would bring additional value to electricity users and satisfy society's goals for renewable energy and electrification targets. Meanwhile, the forecast for new load due to data centers is getting national attention with developers playing a key role in these new load projections.

This panel of executives from Texas utilities Oncor and CPS Energy addresses the challenges of integrating renewables with aging infrastructure while addressing key topics in our industry such as load growth, reliability, resilience, safety, and energy justice needs and requirements.
