Guidelines
Step-by-Step Guide for Submittal:
Step 1:
Identify an issue/technology/project that is relevant and informative to the power generation industry.
Step 2:
Develop a well written 200 – 400 word synopsis of the key points to be addressed in the proposed presentation
The online submission form will accept up to 400 words.
Step 3:
Choose the presentation method: Manuscript Presentation or Panel Discussion.
Manuscript Presentation Guidelines
• Presentation Length: 20-25 minutes, including Q & A time.
• Manuscript-Submission of a manuscript to conference management is required in advance of DistribuTECH to enable publication on the CD-ROM conference proceedings.
• Complimentary Registration-One presenter per selected manuscript presentation is eligible for complimentary "Full Delegate" registration to DistribuTECH, which includes admission to the exhibit hall and conference, two delegate luncheons, exhibit hall floor reception and one copy of the conference proceedings on CD-ROM.
• The primary contact for the manuscript is typically the presenter and will be listed in the pre-conference brochure, show guide and on the DistribuTECH website as the primary author and presenter. Remaining names will be listed as co-authors. The primary contact may be changed one time after submission of the abstract and submitted in writing to the DistribuTECH Conference Manager at dboyne@pennwell.com. Every effort will be made to include the corrected name when submitted before printing deadlines.
Panel Presentation Guidelines
• Presentation Length-1-hour panel sessions provide a less structured environment and allow conference attendees to interact with the panel participants.
• Panel participants are not required to submit a manuscript, but each panelist is encouraged to deliver a short 5-10-minute presentation.
• Participating panelists must be confirmed when abstract is submitted for consideration.
• Complimentary Registration:
Up to 4 panelists per selected panel discussion are eligible for complimentary "Full Delegate" registration to DistribuTECH, which includes admission to the exhibit hall and conference, two delegate luncheons, exhibit hall floor reception and one copy of the conference proceedings on CD-ROM.
Please include complete contact information for the presenter(s) and primary contact as well as all affiliated authors and co-authors. Contact information includes name, title, company, address, phone, fax and email address. When submitting an abstract for Panel Discussion, please list and identify the panel moderator as well as all panelists and their contact information. Panelists must be confirmed when the abstract is submitted.
Step 5: On-Line Submission Guidelines:
The online submission accepts up to 400 words.
Please fill out ALL appropriate fields: abstract submission process will not be completed without including all required information.
Once the abstract has been submitted, an automatic email response will be sent to confirm that DistribuTECH conference management has received it. Please print this and retain the email for your records. No faxes will be accepted.
NOTE: If you do not receive an email confirmation then the system did NOT accept your abstract. Please re-enter it.

DistribuTECH Conference Manager
SELECTION, NOTIFICATION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Selection Process: The DistribuTECH 2010 Program Committee is comprised of vendors and utilities from all sectors of the T&D industries. This committee will carefully review all abstracts submitted by the August 3, 2009 deadline with the ultimate goal of forming a highly educational and informative conference that addresses topical and timely power generation industry issues.
All abstracts will be evaluated on the strength of the abstract submitted, including content matter, market trend and relevance of the material. Consultants and manufacturers may submit abstracts of a non-commercial nature, but blatant commercial sales pitches will not be accepted for presentation.
NOTIFICATION:
All primary contacts will be notified in writing in mid-September 2009 as to whether or not their proposed DistribuTECH abstract has been selected.
PRIMARY CONTACT RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary contact will be responsible for meeting all deadlines and requirements regarding the paper presentation or panel participation. The primary contact must agree to submit a final manuscript to be included in the conference proceedings by December 1, 2009. This contact also needs to notify conference management of any changes, additions or corrections in author, co-author or panelist names, paper titles or availability to present the submitted paper at the appointed date and time. Unless otherwise noted on the abstract, the presenter will be considered the primary contact.
SPEAKER REGISTRATION:
One presenter per paper accepted or up to four panelists per panel session will receive complimentary ‘Full Delegate’ conference registration which includes entrance to the conference and exhibit hall, delegate lunches, exhibit hall reception and one copy of the conference proceedings on CD-ROM. All travel and hotel arrangements are the sole responsibility of the speaker.
Co-presenters are encouraged to attend DistribuTECH, and we will gladly include their names in the conference program. However, they will be responsible for their conference registration, hotel accommodations, travel and other conference-related expenses.
